What we do and what we do not do

We are a charter broker. When you ask for a private jet charter in Boston, we shop your trip to operators and present the options, then act as your agent in booking one of them. We do not own or fly aircraft.

The flight itself is provided by an independent air carrier that holds FAA Part 135 operating authority and retains full operational control. That carrier, not us, is the operator of the flight and the entity responsible for how it is conducted. We have no authority over the carrier's crews, aircraft, maintenance, or flight decisions.

Quotes are estimates until confirmed

Prices shown on this site and in initial quotes are estimates. They are based on the aircraft category, the route, and typical hourly rates for the cabin class you choose. Aircraft hourly rates in our data run from $2,200 to $3,500 for turboprops up to $9,500 to $14,500 for heavy jets, but a specific quote depends on the actual aircraft, its position, and fuel at the time of booking.

A quote becomes binding only when the operator confirms the aircraft and you accept the operator's terms. Between your inquiry and that confirmation, pricing, availability, and aircraft assignment can change. We will tell you when a figure is firm and when it is not.

Payment and changes follow the contract

Once you book, the money side of the trip is governed by the operator's charter agreement. That contract sets payment schedules, cancellation terms, change fees, and refund rules. We will show you those terms before you commit, and we will not accept payment on the operator's behalf unless the arrangement calls for it.

Cancellation windows vary by operator and aircraft. Short-notice cancellations on positioning flights can carry significant charges, and peak periods tighten the rules further. Read the contract. If something in it is unclear, ask us and we will get the answer in writing from the operator.

Taxes and fees

Quoted prices include an estimate of the federal excise tax that applies to domestic air transportation, along with segment fees and any airport or handling charges the operator passes through. International legs are treated differently, and some trips to Canada, the Caribbean, or Mexico carry different tax treatment plus customs and immigration fees.

Fuel surcharges and crew overnight costs can appear separately depending on the operator and the itinerary. If a fee is not part of the quoted number, we identify it before booking so you can compare quotes on like terms.

Schedules and operational decisions

Departure times, routing, and the choice of Boston-area airport belong to the operator and the pilot in command. Weather, air traffic, runway conditions, and aircraft availability can change a plan after it is set. On a summer afternoon, density altitude at Hanscom can reach about 2,300 ft, which affects performance planning for some aircraft on some runways.

We relay schedule information as we receive it, but we do not direct flights. If a trip is delayed or rerouted, the operator makes that call and answers for it under its certificate and its contract with you.

Limitation of liability

We are responsible for arranging your charter with reasonable care. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of the operator, for flight delays, diversions, cancellations, baggage issues, injuries, or property loss arising from the flight. Those matters are handled between you and the operator, and the operator's liability terms appear in its charter agreement and its conditions of carriage.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to the brokerage service is limited to the fee we received for arranging that charter. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have that cannot be waived under applicable law. Questions about a specific booking should go to us in writing so there is a record.
